If neither of these sources provides the help you need, you can head online and take advantage of the massive Linux community around the world.

On a server system, it s often important that processes are executed at a regular predefined time, and Linux offers the cron facility to do this. It works with two parts: a daemon called crond and some configuration files which the administrator can use to specify when the processes should be started. Both parts ensure that the command is executed at regular times. Apart from cron, the at command can be used to run a command just once.

It s not that people online don t want to help. It s that they don t like it when people are too lazy to help themselves and expect others to do even the slightest work for them. Although not all Linux people you encounter will take such a hard line, doing a little homework first can provide answers to a lot of questions, removing the need to ask others.
